Robert Yoder, Club Number: “The Office” is a space within the Russo Lee Gallery and a year-long program curated by art consultant Eva Lake, who organizes capsule-sized shows of unrepresented regional artists. Her February show features work from Seattle artist Robert Yoder’s new series, “Hobby Lantern.” Yoder’s thickly applied paint weighs down the squares of found T-shirt material that he splices together, giving them added heft and form. Lines incised in the paint read like revealed fragments of cuneiform script in some works, or like brands seared into the surfaces in others.
