Press Release

Lucinda Parker returns to her themes of mountains and upheaval in Helens and Hood: Keep Safe Distance. Parker observes that the mountains are active volcanoes, unpredictable elements of nature and a restless earth. She sees paint and lava in similar terms: they flow and then they hardened. The expressive, energetic paintings capture the making and unmaking of form and structure.
