Russo Lee Gallery is pleased to present Continuum, marking the gallery’s first exhibition dedicated to secondary market offerings by both active artists and artists’ estates. The more than fifty selected works for this inaugural show create a conversation between distinct moments in contemporary art and highlight connections across generations.
As its title suggests, Continuum emphasizes continuity and reflects a significant expansion of Russo Lee Gallery's longstanding commitment to the artists and collectors who have shaped its history. The secondary market offers an opportunity to revisit important works, reconsider them within a broader historical context, and introduce them to new audiences. By bringing these works back into public view, the exhibition underscores the enduring relevance and the lasting relationships between artists and collectors.
Comprised of paintings, sculpture, and works on paper, featured artists include Jay Backstrand, Michael Brophy, Judith Poxson Fawkes, Tom Fawkes, Gregory Grenon, Roll Hardy, Frederick Heidel, Manuel Izquierdo, Fay Jones, Mel Katz, Michihiro Kosuge, Elizabeth Malaska, Michael Paul Miller, Geoffrey Pagen, Lucinda Parker, René Rickabaugh, Anne Siems, Eric Stotik, Akio Takamori, Gina Wilson, Sherrie Wolf, and Samantha Yun Wall.
