Russo Lee Gallery is pleased to participate in the third edition of the Seattle Art Fair. The fair is being held at the CenturyLink Field Event Center, and we are in Booth D26. The preview opening of the fair is Thursday, August 3 and will run through Sunday, August 6.
On the regional front, Winchester Galleries (Victoria, B.C.) and Russo Lee Gallery (Portland) make exceptionally strong showings.
The stars of Russo Lee are Samantha Wall, whose meticulous graphite-and-conté-crayon-on-paper drawings (especially “Second Sight”) are downright visionary, and Jo Hamilton, whose mixed crocheted-yarn creations are both wacky and virtuosic.
Russo Lee Gallery: Meanwhile, this Portland, Ore., gallery serves up some maverick work that includes Jo Hamilton’s portrait of Las Vegas types (“Uncle Dougie & John Muhato”) made from mixed crocheted yarn, Michael Brophy’s photorealistic oils on canvas of Oregon lava fields and Samantha Wall’s eerie graphite-and-conté-crayon-on-paper experiment in double vision, “Second Sight.”
