Press Release

For the month of August, Russo Lee exhibits Northwest Masters: Works from Estates & Private Collections. This exhibition features selected works by artists Louis Bunce, William H. Givler, Sally Haley, Manuel Izquierdo, Hilda Morris, Carl Morris, and Michele Russo. Works by these artists have had immense influence on Portland's art scene, and helped shape and build the foundation of art in the Pacific Northwest. The subjects of this exhibition range from still life to abstraction, and are comprised of mediums that include drawing, painting, and sculpture.

 

These artists' works have been exhibited throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as nationally and internationally including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Portland Art Museum. Major public and private collections include the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University, the Portland Art Museum, the Seattle and Tacoma Art Museums, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Guggenheim Museum.
