Michael Brophy continues his exploration of life in the Pacific Northwest in his August solo exhibition, Home. This show features large-scale paintings of forests and smaller-scale works of water. Home also contains a suite of gouaches based on Multnomah County under quarantine. It should be noted that the gouaches are a natural progression from a major commission completed earlier this year, in which Brophy painted 24 gouaches for the new Multnomah County Courthouse, a project contracted by the Regional Arts and Culture Council.
Michael Brophy recently updated his website (LINK) and it now includes an archive of all of his work. If you have a piece of Michael Brophy’s art that is not included in the archive and would like to have it added, please photograph the front and back (for labeling purposes) and email it to the gallery.
