This exhibition of paintings by Portland artist, Mary Josephson continues her vibrant and colorful renderings of the figure. Entitled, Getting There, this series depicts people going places in various modes of transportation. Some characters are taken out of reality and others border on dreams and into fantasy. With each expressive, colorful figure, Josephson leads us into their story. Mary Josephson has exhibited her work for over 20 years. She studied in Paris, France, at the École National Superior des Beaux Arts before receiving a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Prominent collections include the Safeco Collection, Microsoft, Oregon State University, and the Portland Art Museum.
