For June we will feature Cabinet of Curiosities by Gina Wilson. Known for both her evocative paintings and ceramics, this show incorporates an even wider variety of media, including fabric, drawing, and collage. Taking cues from anthropology and modern times, Wilson explores concepts of beauty and universal rites shared by many cultures. Whether in clay, paint, fabric, or collage, Wilson can evoke the playfulness of the figure and human activity in an abstract, formal space. Enigmatic poses and funny, faint memories are parts of the evolving process of her work.
