Press Release

For the month of November Russo Lee Gallery is pleased to present New Work by Fay Jones. For decades Jones has created a surrealistic cast of characters in comical, unpredictable, and dreamlike narratives. This exhibition features both large and small works on paper, including a series of ten paintings of trees, which reveal an imaginative vision of a changing vista.

Originally from Boston, Fay Jones received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1957. Her work has been extensively collected in the Northwest, and is included in the collections of the Portland Art Museum and the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Oregon, and the Seattle Art Museum and the Tacoma Art Museum in Washington, as well as the Cities of Seattle and Portland.
